Description: Role Summary: Responsible for achieving sales objectives with targeted brokers in a specified geographic area. Partners with Regional Market Manager (RMM) to develop and implement local market sales strategies to achieve sales plan and sales growth objectives, and for achieving persistency and profitability targets. Manages Sales Representatives by setting clear and concise goals and developmental plans. Responsibilities: · Manage the sales process for all CGI (Cigna Group Insurance) lines in order to meet or exceed annual business plan as measured by new business premium and case count · Maintain prescribed monthly quote and broker call activity levels · Partner with RMM to achieve sales, persistency and profitability goals · Manage performance of Sales Representatives · Coaches individuals in professional development and works with direct reports to build and execute developmental action plans · Oversees and provides input for each Sales Representative on the development of market specific sales plan · Partners with the RMM to provide input on the development and execution of local marketing strategies to achieve sales plan · Develops and maintains strong intelligence capability through customer/broker contact and formal competitive analysis · Works with Account Management partner(s) to ensure an integrated approach to account development strategies and proactive service strategy · Ensures account specific development plans to promote profitable growth and a truly integrated CIGNA product portfolio · Completes all reporting requirements on time Qualifications: · Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience · 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in the areas of sales with group insurance industry knowledge · 3-5 years sales management or sales mentoring experience preferred; including recruitment, selection and development of new sales representatives · Strong selling skills demonstrated by successful track record in group insurance sales · Excellent negotiation skills, including public speaking and presentation skills · Ability to balance multiple, sometimes competing priorities · Excellent technical product knowledge · Strong results orientation · Strong entrepreneurial drive/innovativeness · Proficiency in financial/underwriting concepts and a demonstrated ability to apply these concepts · Excellent interpersonal and communication skills · Strong external/customer focus · Financial acumen/aptitude · Problem-solving skills · Ability to obtain necessary licenses within a specific timeframe US Candidates Only : Qualified applicants will be considered for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, veteran status.
