JOB DESCRIPTION
Requirements:
Our client has an immediate need for an Assistant Controller. This critical role will manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department. You will monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports, as well as establish and maintain a strong internal control environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor-s degree in Accounting

Minimum 5 years of work experience in accounting

Preferred Qualifications:

CPA, CMA or MBA

Experience with SAP, Oracle or other large-scale ERPs

Result oriented, proactive, and possesses a high level of integrity

Strong problem solving and analytical skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Strong working knowledge of US GAAP

Thorough knowledge of Oracle finance system

Strong skills in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel
Responsibilities:
Responsible for coordinating and managing the general accounting function, concerning primarily the accuracy and maintenance of the ledger accounts and the resultant financial statements.

Responsible for the direct supervision of the general accounting staff.

Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including:

Month-end process

AR/AP processes

Internal control
design and implementation

General ledger

Fixed assets and capital expenditure authorization

Revenue and expenditure analysis

Business operations support

Review, monitor and validate monthly/quarterly financial statements

Maintain and improve processes, procedures, and documentation.

Assist with various projects as necessary.
