CHP prides itself on being mission, community and employee driven. We are seeking an Assistant Property Manager who is a highly motivated person with strong customer relation skills. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic and will constantly strive to make improvements to the property and develop practices that positively impact customer satisfaction.This position requires initiative and the ability to work efficiently and effectively with minimal supervision, demonstrated skill working in a fast-paced environment, and experience prioritizing work and handling competing demands with intermittent interruptions.The Assistant Property Manager is responsible for leasing, marketing, bookkeeping, customer service, resident retention, and administrative responsibilities as well as supervising staff on the property.In addition to those detailed above, to be successful in this role a candidate will need to a have the following skills, experience, and education.SkillsAbility to perform intermediate math functions (rent subsidy calculations, damage deposit withholding, etc.)Strong written and verbal communication skills, conflict resolution skills, and a high degree of organizational skillsMust be proficient with computers and software applications including Microsoft Office Suite/Excel and must have the ability to learn and use specialized property management software effectivelyAbility to establish effective relationships with residents, the public, co-workers, and subcontractorsMust possess excellent judgment, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to handle sensitive or confidential information with a high degree of professional discretionMust be able to understand and relate the concepts behind specific ideas and policies to othersMust possess knowledge of property management functionsEducation and/or ExperienceMinimum high school diploma or equivalent; associate or higher education degree in business management, human services, administrative technology, or related field preferredPrevious experience in property management or related customer service field preferredBonus skills and abilityFamiliarity with real estate software such as Yardi-VoyagerPrior experience with or knowledge of HUD, Section 8, Tax Credit, or RD programsThis is a part-time position requiring 24 hours of work per week. Working hours may vary, but the customary schedule is from Monday through Friday beginning at 8:00 am and ending at 5:00 pm with a
one-hour lunch break.
