- Current State of Michigan Mechanic Certification
- At least 18 years of age
- Valid Michigan driver's license and a clean driving record
- Able to read and write in English
- Have own tools; shop has all specialty tools and equipment needed
- Have at least one to two years experience and possess basic computer skills
- Have reliable transportation to and from work
- Have a strong ability to communicate clearly and professionally
Responsibilities:
- Ability to be ready to start work by scheduled time
- Maintaining a safe and organized work environment
- Properly securing vehicles on hoists and floor jacks/stands
- Providing the highest quality of repairs
- Ability to interact in a professional manner between employees and customers
- Properly diagnosing customer vehicles, clearly stating any problems so that estimation of repair costs is properly performed
