The Institutional Securities Technology division (IST) develops and oversees the technology strategy and bespoke technology solutions to drive and enable the institutional business and enterprise-wide functions. With a global footprint of around 4,000 resources, sourcing and managing our talent pool whilst responding the business demand is a complex and dynamic challenge.

Our Electronic Trading (MSET) offers global electronic access across cash equities, options and futures. Our electronic trading tools include a broad suite of algorithms, smart order routing and direct market access. The client on-boarding and integration team engages with clients ,vendors, sales, operations and technology to on-board and support Institutional Securities/Prime Services clients globally. The team is responsible for client testing of trades, transfers, swaps, cash wires and SL locates, via multiple channels including FTP/SFPT, FIX, SWIFT, IBM MQ and API.

We are seeking a Business Analyst to partner with senior members across various business domains as well as technology teams to gather functional and business requirements, analyze complex and nuanced current and target state data flows, operating models and platforms, and synthesize the information captured into tangible technology-based solutions and proposals which are understandable to both business and technology teams. The successful candidate will have a strong background of understanding the end to end lifecycle (e.g. order management and execution, risk management, trade capture, settlements, confirmations, position-keeping, accounting, regulatory requirements) across multiple financial products (Cash Equities / Fixed Income, Cleared / Non-cleared Derivatives, FX etc.). The successful candidate will also be a hands-on SME with a proven track record of working of large-scale technology-based solutions within the investment

banking space. The ability to bridge the gap between business and technology is paramount in this role, to drive the business forward in meeting their objectives through technology-based solutions.

Primary Responsibilities:

· Actively participates with other members of the delivery team (Product Manager, Product Owners, Information Architects, UX Designers, Mid-Tier Dev, UI Dev, QA Analysts and other BA's) to create solutions that meet business needs in an Agile setting (i.e., scrum ceremonies, collocated team, etc.)

· Works with the team to decompose requirements into stories, uncover associated workflows, data, and business rules as well as define acceptance criteria based on real-world scenarios

· Determines and produces just enough documentation for the functionality being delivered in iterations, but also compiles a running specification that serves as a functional specification for the final deliverable

· Moves project forward by stepping into other functional roles (testing, iteration management, etc.), when applicable

· Partners with internal stakeholders such as Integration, the Client-Facing Documentation Team, and the Client Support Team on operational readiness activities by sharing subject matter expertise on features and functions and uncovering operational requirements

Skills

• BS or MS degree required with Computer Science, Business Administration or related concentration preferred

• 5 - 10 years Business Analysis/Solution Design/Software Development experience

• Knowledge of institutional trade processing (including Electronic Trade Confirmation, Matching, Straight Through Processing (STP), and current industry initiatives)

• Knowledge of SWIFT messaging and FIX protocol

• Experience with Sell Side (Broker), Buy Side (IM), and Custodian middle-office post-trade processing

• Working knowledge of debt, equity and derivative securities and cross-border processing requirements a plus

• Experience with XML, JSON, and/or data modeling

• Experience in Agile/scrum methodology, including defining a minimal viable product, and exposure to other software development methodologies

• Proficiency in MS Office including Visio

• Familiarity with project management and testing practices

• Experience with XML editor, SQL, and/or business analytics a super plus

• Certifications in Business Analysis or Agile a plus
