-BA/BS required, MBA a plus.

-Minimum 8-10 years experience working for a commercial bank and/or a FinTech/data company selling data to banks in the U.S. Commercial space.

-Quantifiable successful sales track record.

-Ability to manage, track and close a large number of opportunities across various market segments with different content and value propositions for each.

-Experience thriving in a new business environment and experience successfully selling data analytics products.

-Passion to expand the product offering to enable data integration with clients existing internal systems (e.G. Salesforce, CRM, etc.).

-Strong coordination skills across all support functions including existing sales teams, product development, and marketing.

-Experience providing constructive feedback to product development and management teams based upon direct client and prospect input.

-Exceptional communication and presentation skills at various levels in targeted organizations including the C-suite.

-Ability to travel up to 50% of the time (when safe to do so).

The successful candidate will have to demonstrate the following skills and attributes:

-Impactful Client Relationships - Ability to interact and build trust-based relationships with senior stakeholders at clients in the financial services industry; Ability to build own network within the industry in addition to client contacts.

-Excellent Business Development Marketing and acumen - Ability to spot opportunities and align client needs with Coalition Greenwich capabilities.

-Exemplary communication skills - Ability to converse confidently and articulately; Excellent presentation skills and the ability to present with impact to small groups or large audiences.

-Strong product expertise - Strong knowledge of Commercial Banking, specifically products, distribution, and increasingly how AI/BI and advanced analytics are being used for account targeting, pricing, and assessing relationship profitability.

-High level of enthusiasm and motivation - A strong degree of self-motivation and a passion for the financial services industry.

The Business Development Manager will lead the sales effort for two newly launched Small and Mid-Sized Entity (SME) data & analytics products in the U.S. Commercial Banking segment. These products include the product level and aggregate revenues these companies spend on commercial banking services (eg. wallet data), prospect intelligence, and commercial loan pricing data. The wallet data product is called -Money in Motion-, the prospect intelligence product is called -ProspectMatch- and the loan pricing product is called -Commercial Loan Analytics-. These products are in the process of being integrated but can be sold separately. Coalition Greenwich is also in active discussions with other content partners to continue building out its data & analytics offerings.

The products are delivered via a web-based business intelligence tool and also via API directly into clients- information systems. The data is used by commercial banking senior executives, strategy professionals, relationship managers, marketing teams, and the digital strategy departments and/or AI/BI sales enablement leaders to monitor credit pricing trends, increase sales effectiveness and improve business performance. These products include pricing and revenue data contributed by banks, demographic data, as well as market research with small and mid-sized U.S. businesses. Our cutting-edge proprietary data and analytics combine machine learning, with our unique research and third-party data enabling both strategic growth planning and account-level tactical insights.

The Business Development Manager-s primary objective is to generate and close business targeting the top 100 U.S. commercial banks. The role has the two primary components:

1. Business development and marketing to U.S. commercial & community banks, targeting the heads of data/analytics/CRM/sales enablement

2. Business leadership and sales management

1. Business Development (New Logos)

-Target U.S. banks who want to use advanced analytics to build market share and increase profitability in the small business and/or middle market banking segments

-Own net new business pipeline and progression of key opportunities

-Own reporting and planning of new business development opportunities

-Market continuously with prospects to broaden client coverage

-Develop the strategic goals and tactical plans necessary to identify, prospect and connect with targeted accounts.

-Exceed annual revenue target of $1.5 million.

-Leverage existing contacts in the commercial banking industry to create a sales plan to effectively cover the top 100 banks.

-Leverage CRM to track sales activity and target specific contacts for upselling initiatives and other campaigns.

-Manage the flow of inquiries daily/weekly in addition to continuous outreach.

-Coordinate as needed with other Coalition Greenwich team members covering some of these banks representing other product lines. (Note that the business development manager will predominately be targeting the digital strategy departments and/or AI/BI sales enablement leaders where there is minimal overlap with buyers of other Coalition Greenwich services.)

2. Business Leadership

-Contribute to the strategy of Coalition Greenwich for the Money in Motion, ProspectMatch, and Commercial Loan Analytics products (e.g., budget & planning, new product/client segments/industry, marketing, partnership, resourcing).

-Manage revenue targets and forecasting.

-Represent sales agenda at weekly leadership meetings.

-Co-operate with Product & Research teams to:

-Obtain client input for existing and new product offerings

-Refine product positioning and pricing

-Align client needs with product development initiatives

-Ensure product pricing is aligned to the business costings and resourcing

-Identify and collaborate to shape further innovations to product set to support future growth and differentiation
