Our goal with the Sr. Digital Media Specialist role is to create an immersive media experience for our employees and stakeholders that feels different -- focused on authenticity and the people doing the work.
We are looking for a tech-savvy storyteller who can create powerful, creative and engaging digital media communications including but not limited to video, podcast, graphics and SharePoint. A top-notch media specialist will be an energetic self-starter capable of great ideas and driving them over the finish line.
In this role, you will:
- Shoot, produce and edit high-quality videos, photos, podcasts and other digital media
- Work directly with stakeholders to understand their business needs and suggest the most appropriate digital communication means to achieve their outcomes
- Collaborate with teammates to create and manage a digital media strategy to accompany a program-wide communications strategy
- Demonstrate the ability to effectively manage several highly complex products with multiple stakeholders simultaneously
- Remain up to date with the latest digital media trends and design technology available
Responsibilities
- Shoot, edit and produce video content for a variety of audiences and channels
- Shoot and edit photos for a variety of internal channels
- Produce and edit podcasts
- Work directly with stakeholders to determine media needs; this may include scheduling and logistic coordination of video/photo shoots and coaching participants in on-camera presence and effective storytelling
- Coordinate and produce live stream events
- Maintain Duke Energy s brand standards in all digital media
- Work closely with people in a variety of roles (including
leaders and senior management) to discuss, collaborate and execute on vision
- Organize and prioritize your work to ensure high-priority efforts are executed on time

Required Qualifications
Bachelor s degree in digital media, marketing, or a related field
In addition to required degree, five or more years related work experience
Solid knowledge of design and editing programs such as InDesign, Photoshop, and Final Cut Pro
Knowledge of web design and SharePoint management
Demonstration of high-quality video production
People skills: Able to have collaborative conversations with teammates as well as professional conversations with leadership
