eVigilant, a Converged Security Solutions Company, is looking for an E ntry level AutoCad Designer/Drafter to join our team. Our offices are located in Manassas, Virginia.

eVigilant is seeking an entry level AutoCad Designer/Drafter, with some experience in designing/drafting, to assist in creating Design, Install and As-Built drawing packages. The position is responsible for creating and editing drawing packages in line with industry standards and code compliancy. The position provides support for assigned projects within the Engineering team. The successful candidate will have the ability to multi-task in a fast paced, dynamic environment, while successfully completing their tasks within the required deadlines.

Responsibilities and Duties: Perform detailed design tasks using AutoCAD and other software tools to develop and document designs, to include: Creating and updating drawing packages Equipment submittal data packages Logic diagrams Panel layout details Device layout details Under the guidance of senior engineers, create planning and design details, including engineering concepts, distribution plans, riser diagrams, schedules, specifications, design analysis, engineering reports, etc. as directed by senior engineers. Attend on-site technical discussions
and meetings with the Engineering team, customers and suppliers; occasional off-site project visits Provide support for project managers from conception through completion, (both large and small), in accordance with Company objectives and contract requirements, as it pertains to drawing packages and data submittals Qualifications: An associate's degree from an accredited college/university, graduation from a trade school, or a High School Diploma and an equivalent of 2 years of directly applicable experience Ability to perform mechanical tasks associated with design and manufacturing of systems Proficient with AutoCAD software Proficiency of Microsoft Office tools, such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Be eligible to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a required) Strong technical and communication skills Preferred Qualifications: CAD Technology Certification Experience with Architectural, Civil, CCTV, Electrical, Wiring Diagrams, Cable Diagrams, Elevations, Sections, Mechanical, Structural, 19" equipment rack elevations, drafting Experience with Electronic Security Systems including Access Control, Intrusion Detection, Intrusion Detection Notification, Fire Alarm systems, and Video Management systems experience Autodesk Certified Professional Certification BIM experience (Building Information Modeling) Physical Requirements: Must be able to walk, stoop, climb, balance, and lift, sitting for long periods of time The worker is required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned At eVigilant, we foster teamwork, growth, individuality and entrepreneurialism.
