Job Description:
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Clean and inspect components and assemblies Operate Lapping/Ring Lapping equipment, complete Assemblies and Sub-assemblies, operate precision measuring equipment, complete fine cleaning and complete Clean Room tasks Bond and assemble small components and assemblies Lap components to sub-micron flatness Evaluate procedures and recommend changes or modifications for efficiency and adaptability to production Perform scheduled inspection of work (including documentation of results) and verify conformance of finished workpiece to specifications Confer with engineers, production personnel or others to resolve issues Maintain safe, clean, orderly and organized work areas Accurate and timely completion and organization of required paperwork Perform all other duties, as assigned
Education & Experience
High School diploma or equivalent required Basic reading and math skills 2 to 4 years relative experience Experience with clean room operations, interferometer equipment, lapping equipment and precision measuring equipment Experience with precision measurement methods and systems Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and process procedures Demonstrated ability to follow instructions and procedures closely while offering suggestions for continuous improvement Experience with networked PC based computer system (spreadsheets, Email, MRP systems)
Good manual dexterity Experience in optical lapping Fine motor skills - able to manipulate small components Clean and organized (will work in a clean room environment) Patient and conscientious Metrology: Must be skilled in the use of hand and electronic gauging (inspection less than .0001 inches) and other electronic equipment Experience with manufacturing process improvement initiatives Related experience in high-precision R&D/manufacturing environment Able to get along well with others Able to work overtime, as required Ability to work in a cross-cultural, team based environment Good interpersonal and communication skills

Physical Requirements
Ability to frequently lift/push/pull a minimum of 25 pounds Able to sit, stand, bend, squat and walk about the facility Walking/standing a minimum of 8 hours per day

Complete all responsibilities per Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions. Recommend improvements to new and existing programs, documentation, fixturing and processes.
