Job Title - Controller business unit

Locations - Chicago address office location near O'Hare and near Rosemont, hybrid 2 days in the office, 3 days at home (can be flexible which days)

Salary - Comp: up to 125K area

Key Points:

Qualifications to Meet Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance

7+ years' experience of accounting managerial experience

Cash, Treasury, Tax, Month-end closing, JEs, account recs, understanding inventory concepts (workflow)

Excellent written and verbal communication skills and proven ability to communicate with all levels of an organization

Strong leadership skills

Strong analytical skills

ERP and BI experience, Oracle EBS a plus

Experience preparing and reviewing account reconciliations

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Ability to meet deadlines

Strong multitasking skills

Strong problem-solving skills

Experience in manufacturing and/or wholesale distribution preferred

Purpose of the Job:

The Controller will lead and manage the Sr Staff Accountants and Sr Accounting Manager in our Chicago, IL facility. This role will work closely with both local and regional management teams. They will be responsible for guiding and monitoring accounting functions, managing internal controls, month end close responsibilities and account reconciliations. The Controller must have broad knowledge of industry best practices and be able to both proactively

identify and solve potential risks or issues in our processes. This position will interact on a regular basis with finance, commercial and operational employees across the company. This position will report directly to the Corporate Controller.

Essential Functions:

Manage the local Sr Staff Accountant and Sr Accounting Manager

Month end close procedures

Review and Approve Journal Entries

Oversee Balance Sheet and P&L variance analysis

Manage various treasury functions

Review and approve monthly and quarterly account reconciliations

Review sales and use tax report

Manage fixed assets and leases

Ensure payroll and expense reports are processed regularly

Point of contact for financial audits

Take ownership of issues; propose and drive appropriate resolution which are in accordance with GAAP

Build productive working relationships

Assist Corporate Controller and CFO on projects as needed
