We are constantly on a mission to add smart, innovative and fun-loving team members, and are looking for a Director of Business Development to come join our New York based headquarters.

The Director of Business Development will be developing new, strategic partnerships that drive growth for Tommy John's men's and women's divisions, while expanding our brand equity and awareness. This is a commercial-centric role that will work cross-functionally to identify, negotiate and nurture business development opportunities that directly drive new customers. These partnerships require coordination with our marketing, merchandising, creative and experience teams, as well as our founders, to ensure they're aligned with our revenue and brand goals. The ideal candidate (individual contributor to start) will be comfortable seeking and closing select opportunities with full support from across the Tommy John organization.

Responsibilities:

Help set the strategy to identify partnerships that (a) align with our current/prospective consumer's interests, (b) drive new business and
(c) are brand accretive.Build a transparent, strategic pipeline of potential partners, including managing inbound requestsPitch new opportunities, negotiate terms and win new businessWork closely with internal partners including legal, pr, marketing, merchandising, data, experience, technology and others to ensure flawless executionDevelop KPIs and consistently analyze the performance and impact of partnerships for constant optimizationInternally communicate BD plans and performance to both educate and inspire the organization
Requirements:

Bachelor's in Business, Marketing or related field; MBA, a plus7-10 years of relevant Business Development/Partnership experience, preferably within a high-growth consumer companyExperience negotiating terms including revenue-sharing agreements (or cost per acquired customer, wholesale terms or equivalent)Ability to independently lead both strategy and execution, gain internal consensus, and communicate effectivelyAbility to collaborate well with cross-functional teams and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, and highly-fluid environmentExceptional presentation, written and verbal communication skillsOccasional travel (10%), only when safe to do so
