JOB DESCRIPTION

The Director of Donor Relations is a high-impact position critical to the successful execution of World Pediatric Project's mission. The Director of Donor Relations is responsible for goals related to raising annual revenue and for identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding major donors in the Greater St. Louis area and region. The incumbent will work with the development team to implement and manage the development annual campaign and must be able to be successful in a metrics-driven role.

Essential Functions (other duties may be assigned)

Secure, maintain and grow individual donor base focusing on donors giving at the level of $1,000 and above through both the cultivation of existing and acquisition of new donors
In coordination with the full development team, implement effective donor stewardship and cultivation strategies
In coordination with the ED and VP of Development, attract and nurture development leadership volunteers
Assist in the creation and development of the annual fund campaign and other development mailings and materials
Build relationships with Staff and the Board of Directors, as well as external audiences, including prospective donors, volunteers, community thought leaders and influencers
Participate with all staff in organization-wide activities and functions

Basic computer skills, including but not limited to Word, Excel, donor management software, etc.

Qualifications

Minimum of Bachelor's degree is preferred
Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in annual campaign, development and/or sales and/or marketing related experience in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
Demonstrated success in achieving annual monetary goals and activity benchmarks in development and/or sales
Experience and demonstrated outcomes in initiating a high volume of prospects and contributor networking/visits
Proven collaborative experience being a part of a small staff and volunteer base
High energy and passion for philanthropy and/or sales for a mission-based organization
Superior written and verbal communications skills
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally
