This role is based in our Professional Tools' Elyria, OH Headquarters and reports directly to the Vice President of Human Resources. In this position, you will have the opportunity to execute Emerson's People Strategy with the ultimate goal of building an engaging culture for employees and driving business performance.
The position offers direct, full-cycle HR support to the employees and leaders of Professional Tools to provide professional advice and coaching to all levels of internal customers.

As a Human Resources Director, You Will:
Drive Employee Development and Retention:
Work with Business Unit leadership to develop, monitor and execute training plans to ensure proper training and employee development
Ensure management training in interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance review, safety, and other policies as needed
Integrate the Korn Ferry Four-Dimensional Model and Korn Ferry Leadership Architect competencies into talent processes and systems
Drive robust Organization Review and Talent Review processes
Support the Organization's Utilization Our HRIS System:
Strive for improvement in HR processes by using automation & HR analytics
Ensure data integrity through proper data inputs
Drive our talent processes into our HRIS system
Be a Diversity and Inclusion Leader:
Serve as a role model in working to foster a culture supportive of diversity and inclusion
Be a thought leader on Diversity and Inclusion and educate both the organization and the leadership team
Build Trust to Create Positive Employee Relations:
Coach managers and employees through employee relations, including performance management, corrective actions, ethics investigations and conflicts
Ensure organization policies and procedures are transparent, consistent, and up to date
Create and maintain trusting relationships with multiple stakeholders
Provide guidance on HR processes, including communication plans, wage and salary proposals, and organizational review
Execute the employee opinion survey process and analyze the results

Schedule:

We offer the flexibility of a core hour work schedule. Employees can flex their start and stop times given they are working during the core hours of 9:00am - 3:00pm. Our teams work together to ensure their chosen work schedules are supporting our customers. This role has minimal travel: 5% - 10%.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
Bachelors degree in HR, Business Administration, or other related field
5-8 years HR or related experience
Strong verbal and written communication skills and professional presentation skills
Ability to work effectively with various levels of the organization
Demonstrated proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite and HR information systems
Legal authorization to work in the United States

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

Additional years of experience, including experience in a manufacturing or industrial company
MBA or Master's in Human Resources
Leadership experience
Geographically mobile to enable future advancement
Knowledge of all pertinent federal and state regulations, filing and compliance requirements affecting employee benefit programs, including ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, Section 125, Medicare, etc.
Working knowledge of Oracle HRIS and Oracle HCM Cloud.
