Our client an "American Multinational Mass Media and Entertainment Industry" is seeking an "Editor, Media Operations" with Remote flexibility.

The Editor is responsible for the operation of non-linear editorial systems for our International Media Prep Operations Center. Responsibilities will include maintaining compliance by formatting broadcast materials for air by editing within the scope of regional regulations and technical standards as defined by standards and practices for over 37 international channels which distribute in more than 15 different languages. This position is responsible for database operations and adhering to established standards of procedures for workflow and requires intermediate media management skills.

Work Hours: Must have flexibility with schedule (1st, 2nd, or overnight shift) in order to support a 24x7 environment and Must be able to work additional hours when needed for special events

Essential Functions:

Edit long-form content to specific regional standards and practices to maintain compliance. Correct technical characteristics of media by specifications set by broadcast standards per domestic and international regional specifications. Retrieve
assignments from and update the status of current projects in a database system. Troubleshoot technical issues within the edit platforms.

Minimum Qualifications:

3+ years experience with non-linear editing software, specifically Avid Media Composer. Final Cut Pro or Adobe Premiere is acceptable. 3+ years experience in Post Production, preferably in Broadcast Television. 1+ years of Adobe Premiere editing knowledge. Experience with Waveform Monitors, Vector scopes, Audio Monitors, and an understanding of required broadcast standards. Must be able to provide a reel/portfolio of work examples.

Desired/Preferred Qualifications:

BA/BS in a related field. Short-form editing experience. Experience in Broadcast Television Operations. Working experience with Boris applications. Technical experience with multiple hardware and software applications, standard to Broadcast Television Operations. Prior experience with Avid Interplay. Experience with editing in a multi-format (NTSC & PAL) environment. Experience with international compliance standards. Experience with Final Cut Pro. Stay current on industry trends and new edit technology.
