Requirements:
FCCPC Birth - Five or CDA certification in Infant- Toddler required
DCF 45 hr. Training certificates required; High School diploma or GED required, Red Cross First Aid & CPR certificate; certificate of good health and completed TB test required; minimum 1 year in childcare services; 15 hours in- Ervice training annually thereafter; requires fingerprints, level 2 criminal background check, and drug test
Experience:
Childcare: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
CPR First Aid Certification (Preferred)
FCCPC or CDA Childcare Certification (Preferred)
Responsibilities:
Plan and implement individualized, developmentally appropriate, nurturing care for infants and toddlers in a center- Ased setting
Coordinate use of community resources to enrich the learning environment
Support program philosophy that parents are the primary educators and nurturers of their children
Enhance the relationship of parents and their children by encouraging parent participation
Oversee and assist with classroom cleanup and follow universal precautions daily
Assist children in transitioning beginning and end of each day and during field trips
Maintain program standards regarding confidentiality and professional boundaries
