Shift: 2nd Shift
Shift Time: M- Th: (3: 30 PM - 2: 00 AM), Fri: (1: 30 PM - 10: 00 PM), Sat: (1: 30 PM - 10: 00 PM)
Spectrum is a new product for the plant, this role will require time spent reading procedure manuals and reference documents in order to trouble shoot and repair the product.

The Largo facility is our largest center in the world and is dedicated to servicing peritoneal dialysis machines and infusion pump devices. Biomedical Equipment Technicians contribute to our mission of saving and sustaining lives by performing electronic troubleshooting to determine root failure and perform preventative maintenance evaluations. Biomedical Equipment Technicians are hands- On and enjoy solving technical problems, applying attention to detail, working autonomously, variation in their work, and documenting findings.

High School diploma or GED
Associates degree or equivalent technical certification required; and 1+ years of experience in troubleshooting and analyzing electro- Mechanical devices required OR High School diploma or GED required; and 3+ or more years of experience in troubleshooting and analyzing electro- Mechanical devices is required.
Medical device experience or other regulated industry preferred.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Good verbal and written communication skills and ability to follow work instructions are required.
Ability to work well together and independently and as a part of a team with minimal supervision.
Basic math skills required.
Proficient computer skills required to enter data, navigate, and routinely toggle between various applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite, and company software programs in the area of expertise are required.
Ability to work independently to effectively determine root cause of failure.
Ability to perform basic statistical analysis from device history logs, read diagrams and drawings and make repair recommendations.
Ability to write clear and concise reports to sufficiently capture and defend evaluation findings.
Must be able to wear applicable personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated areas as required including safety glasses at all times.
Ability to sit and or stand for long periods of time with frequent walking, stooping, reaching, grasping, and using fine & gross motor manipulation.
Must be able to lift up to 30lbs on a routine basis and occasionally up to 41lbs.
Ability to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Adheres to all environmental, health and safety SOP's, equipment, policies, and procedures, including any department specific requirements.
Maintains a mindset that all accidents can be prevented and works pro- Actively to achieve zero harm in the workplace.
Follows defined Quality Management Systems, all applicable procedures, reviews maintenance records, and completes all documentation as required.
Maintains a continuous flow of the servicing line and works independently and as a part of a team to achieve process yield results.
Examines, tests, repairs, and performs troubleshooting of medical devices to assignable cause using instruments such as digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, hipot tester, pressure gauges.
Applies technical knowledge to interpret information, test for accuracy, discern patterns in order to determine a root cause.
Writes clear and concise technical evaluation summaries resulting from troubleshooting analysis.
May rotate into the repair and test areas as needed.
May perform inspection duties as required per required procedures.
May train employees on an as needed bases.
Perform other duties as assigned.
