Shift: WORKING HOURS: Must be available for all shifts

Shift 1: 7:15 am – 4:15 pm, Monday – Friday, Full-time

Shift 2: 7:30 am – 4:30 pm, Monday – Friday, Full-time

Reports to: Supervisor

Pay: $17.00/hr

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Set up jigs and fixtures to properly secure part to be polished or deburred.

• Read travelers and follow instructions to ascertain materials as required.

• Select proper grit belt for producing finish specified.

• Remove sharp edges, burrs, scratches and restore grain to parts using a hand-held grinder.

• Check in-coming and out-going material for quality and quantity. Prepare necessary documentation as required.

• Monitor and verify that the quality and quantity of work performed meets Bobrick standards.

• Understand and set up various speed and depth for fladder deburring machine.

• Maintain a healthy and safe environment by keeping the work area clean, materials positioned correctly and follow safe operation procedures.

• Perform equipment pre-start checklist daily.

• Conduct daily pre-start on equipment before the start of shift.

• Report any unsafe conditions/hazards to department supervisor immediately.

• Participate and produce new methods improvements ideas.

• Work under

the guidance of the SBF when applicable.

• Report any problems in business or equipment to department lead person and/or supervisor.

• Use all protecting devices with guards properly set and in good repair.

• Assist higher grade operators in Tandem operations.

• Prepare detail parts transfer.

• Set up and operate Grade 2 machines: Fladder, Power Notcher, Hand tools.

• Perform other duties as assigned, to include helping with tandem operations.

• Participate and support projects, charter teams and events to meet the company stated goals and budget


• High school diploma or general education degree; and 6-12 months in sheet metal manufacturing, including welding and assembly experience in a manufacturing setting

• Self - Balancing flow manufacturing knowledge or experience is preferred

• Ability to read precision measuring instruments and simple shop sketches.

• Experience in quality control and identify defect and correction

• Ability to use measuring equipment (caliper, micrometer, etc.)

• Good knowledge of shop and safety practices in essential

• Must regularly slide and/or move up to 20 pounds, frequently slide and/or move up to 25 pounds
