Bowmans is looking for a Residential HVAC Service Technician with a high regard for customer satisfaction and company integrity with 5 years experience. (Light Commercial experience would be a plus for this position, but not required).
We are looking for someone who is detailed- Oriented, self- Disciplined, goal driven, and dependable to join family. The technician?s responsibilities include monitoring and servicing current systems, running tests and diagnosing problems, inspecting, analyzing, and troubleshooting systems and equipment. Responsible for updating, improving and/or replacing existing equipment. Will need to be able to understand verbal and written instructions and explain problems simply and clearly.
Our service technicians are also salesmen who need to be able to read and write English clearly with strong mathematical skills to create competitively priced estimates upon request.
Preferred knowledge with: American Standard, Ameri- Star, Trane, Rheem, Carrier, Lennox, Goodman, Mitsubishi and more.
We operate using ServiceTitan on Android based tablets. Knowledge in ServiceTitan is not required as we will train you, but it is a plus.
· High school or equivalent (Required)
· Hvac experience: 5 years (preferred)
· Speak/Read/Write the English Language (required)
· Valid VA State Drivers License (required)
Responsibilities:
Must be able to install, repair, do seasonal maintenances and troubleshooting on the following, but not limited to gas furnaces, heat pumps, geothermal, air conditioners, and air handling units as well as gas logs, water heaters, humidifiers, ultravation systems with knowledge of duct work (and all other HVAC tech duties in between). This person needs to have knowledge and skills to work safely with refrigerant gases, natural gas, propane, high pressured nitrogen and various voltages of electricity. This person will need to be able to safely work in confined spaces such as crawlspaces, attics, closets and basements which may be unlevel or uneven as well as at elevated heights such as working from a ladder, cathedral ceilings and rooftops. This person needs to be ok working in extreme hot and cold temperatures and lift at least 40lb.
