Java Developer - New Jersey City

5 years- experience in programming and/or software development Expert knowledge of programming languages Demonstrated experience providing leadership and making difficult decisions Flexible and willing to accept a change in priorities as necessary Experience working in the healthcare industry preferred Prior experience working remotely full-time preferred Java certifications preferred Experience with Java and Java EE required.

Responsibilities:
You will perform needs analysis of clients and end-users. You will research, plan, design, develop, and deploy software systems. You will design and code new reports, programs and other software and system components according to department and Company guidelines. You will test all code written or modified. You will partner with testing team for regression and quality assurance testing. You will collaborate with customers and end users to ensure changes are appropriate. You will assist other programming staff in analysis and research of issues. May implement relational database design and modeling using the appropriate relational database software. May perform maintenance and backup functions for database. You will write or revise system and operation documentation for complex new and existing programs and systems in accordance with Company and client standards. You will stay abreast of industry trends. Research and design the use of new technologies, making recommendations for changes or improvements utilizing new technology. You may serve as a resource and technical expert to clients and less experienced staff. You will participate in or lead portions of the planning, research, design, and evaluation of software. You will serve as a resource expert to staff and management. May provide direction to less experienced programming staff.
