Position Title:   Lead Solar Installer


$85,000 - $100,000

Roles and Responsibility

We are currently hiring for an experienced Crew Solar Installer Lead to join our energetic team. You will be working in a fast paced and challenging work environment. The best candidate for this position has experience on and around work sites supervising multiple individuals and must possess a strong situational awareness to safely and efficiently guide the daily install process. Leading a crew in solar, roofing, and general construction experience is preferred. You will be working in a fast paced, fun, challenging work environment.

The Install Crew Lead will need to have excellent time management and communication skills while being flexible and adaptable to our ever changing, fast-paced work environment. Experience working with customers and ensuring a high quality installation is produced at every home is a must.

Work is primarily conducted at our customer's homes in the local area but occasional travel is required. Periodic weekend or evening work may also be required, depending on workload.


Supervise, lead, and QC a crew of installers on a daily basisMaintain heightened awareness of safety risks and implement appropriate ORM proceduresEnsure quick and efficient installation of systems while providing excellent customer serviceAbility to spend time with
a customer explaining the work and system to be installedEnsure that job sites are clean and presentable during and after installationMotivate and support install crew and resolve concerns as needed


1+ years of experience with residential or commercial solar installationExperience as a lead, as well as experience working with AC wiring preferredMust be familiar with PV systems and varied install locations and troubleshootingProject Management experience preferredMust possess prior site construction experience and familiarity with construction site safetyCapable of working at heights including on rooftops, climbing ladders and stairs; and performing repetitive duties, including lifting, bending and standing for long periods of timeOSHA certification desirable - Conscientious about safety, knowledge of OSHA standards, and use of safety equipment as required by managementExperience using basic hand and power toolsMust be able to lift 50 poundsAttention to detail and a commitment to delivering the highest quality end-product possible is requiredMust have excellent written and verbal communication skillsReliability and an excellent, positive attitude are essentialAbility to work well with others in a collaborative team environmentMust be able to successfully pass pre-employment screening requirements and have a valid drivers license
