Machine Repair Worker - Lafayette

Requirements:
We are seeking Machine Repair Workers for our manufacturing facility located in Lafayette, Indiana. This position offers a $2,000 sign- On bonus and is available for the 2nd and 3rd shifts. As a Machine Repair Worker, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing complex machine tools and related equipment used in milling, drilling, and grinding functions on cast iron and steel components. The role also involves the installation, maintenance, and repair of hydraulic systems, precision bearings, controllers, and other machine components.
Responsibilities:
Troubleshooting and repairing various types of machines, such as Okuma, G&L, Mazak, Lamb, Landis (grinders), Waldrich Coburg, Ingersoll, Toyoda, DMG, and others in the machine shop.
Working with related equipment like P&H cranes and hoists, conveyors, furnaces, washers, and ABB robots.
Reading and interpreting machine tool prints with a focus on tight tolerances.
Performing leveling and alignment of machines, shafts, gearing, welding, lubrication, pipefitting, and tube bending.
Basic electrical skills and the ability to operate tools for machine repair jobs.
Basic Qualifications:
Completion of an approved mechanical apprenticeship program or extensive experience in mechanical repair of machine tools and related equipment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
Willingness to work overtime to support production demands.
Self- Tarter with strong motivation and ability to work both individually and in a team environment.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to work in a fast- Aced, medium to heavy- Duty assembly environment.
Physical tasks may involve bending, stooping, kneeling, twisting, turning, climbing, and standing on concrete for extended periods (8+ hours).
Lifting up to 40 pounds and frequent repetitive movement of hands with various tools.
Some positions may involve working on a moving conveyor under time constraints.
Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.
