JOB DESCRIPTION


Requirements:

  • • We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as an Entry-Level Payroll Assistant. The primary responsibility of this role is to support the payroll department in accurately and efficiently processing payroll transactions. The ideal candidate will have strong numerical and data entry skills, excellent attention to detail, and a willingness to learn and grow in the field of payroll administration.
  • • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in accounting, finance, or related field is a plus.
  • • Strong numerical and data entry skills with a high level of accuracy.
  • • Proficiency in using payroll software and MS Office, especially Excel.
  • • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • • Detail-oriented and capable of identifying and resolving discrepancies.
  • • Willingness to learn and adapt to changes in payroll processes and regulations.
  • • Basic understanding of payroll laws and regulations is a plus.
  • • Previous experience in payroll administration is desirable but not required.

Responsibilities:

  • • Assist in the preparation and processing of payroll data for employees.
  • • Ensure accuracy in time and attendance records, including verifying hours worked and making necessary adjustments.
  • • Collaborate with HR to ensure accurate employee data and resolve any discrepancies.
  • • Prepare and distribute payroll reports to relevant departments.
  • • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters in a timely and professional manner.
  • • Assist in compliance with local, state, and federal payroll regulations.
  • • Maintain confidentiality of payroll information and sensitive employee data.
  • • Support month-end and year-end payroll closing processes.
  • • Assist in the implementation of payroll policies and procedures.
  • • Stay updated on changes in payroll regulations and industry best practices.
