Experience working in a global virtual team environment is a must Experience working in an Agile methodology is a must Strong work ethic, self-starter who is creative with a 'can-do' attitude Ability to engage with multiple regional and product specific stakeholders of the same application Collect user requirements and feedback from business, technology, and operations stakeholders Document user requirements in standard format, translating business requirements into specification for development teams Conduct and managing sprint ceremonies, backlog grooming, demos, retrospective, maintaining JIRA, TFS etc. and reporting on sprint metrics and KPIs for feature teams Assist in functional and non-functional testing alongside QA Work closely with Architects, UX teams on design of new features and components Drive user adoption and gather feedback from users for continual enhancements and improvements Build relationships with users and stakeholders from multiple regions and products Structures problem solving abilities with strong communication and presentation skills - ability to translate complex business problems and solutions into easily consumable content Quick learner with strong attention to detail

Primary Responsibilities Scrum Master

Understand the difference between Agile and Scrum and be able to articulate it Provide team with resources, information, communication, and practical advice to enable the team to regularly deliver working software Facilitates: Daily scrum (stand-up), release and sprint planning sessions, Sprint review (demo) and Sprint retrospective. Ensure all participants understand the ceremony's purpose and keep to the time-box. Track and communicate team velocity and sprint/release progress Foster and encourage conversations and collaboration - both inside and outside of team allowing them to self-organize Identify and remove impediments, prevent distractions that interfere with the ability of the team to deliver the sprint goal Understand and be able to articulate strategic and product planning and goals in the team's environment and progress toward them Supports Product Owner ensuring the product backlog is properly refined prioritizing to maximize value and using creative techniques for
elaborating user stories to be ready for the upcoming 1-2 sprints. Assist team with making appropriate commitments through story selection, task definition Ensure team understands the need for clear and concise Product Backlog items and achieve this through techniques such as user story slicing and acceptance criteria Proactively manage dependencies Update agile tracking systems to provide transparency on Product & Sprint Backlogs Recommend improvements and assist in changes to best practice Participate in the agile community both internal to Assurant and external with other practitioners

Enforces the values and principles of Agile by focusing on continuous learning and feedback loops

Other Requirements

Solid analytical, reporting and data visualization skills using software like Power BI or Tableau Experience in assessment of requirements from the business' perspective and translating the requirements into the appropriate deliverables in an Agile/Scrum delivery model Solid understanding of the SDLC and Agile Development activities required to deliver custom developed and packaged analytics applications Technical specialization and deep understanding of data models, reporting, data analytics, data mining and segmentation techniques including familiarity with data management tools Proven experience managing vendor resources including solid understanding of the IT procurement process, vendor negotiations, quality and acceptance of vendor analysis and testing of SOW deliverables in a project setting Demonstrated hands-on experience in working with leading Project and Portfolio Management platforms Excellent communication and negotiation skill Agile experience within a multi-team organization Experience working with distributed, virtual teams Excellent communication, facilitation, and coaching skills Advanced understanding of Agile practices such as: retrospectives, daily standups, sprint planning, burn down techniques Experience with agile team tools such as ADO, Jira, Version One or TFS
