1. The candidate should possess a Bachelor of Science degree (Master of Science preferable)
2. A minimum of 10 yrs experience in a broad application of electrical engineering skills
3. The candidate for section head will have broad experience with development of a variety of engineering drawings, schematics, and technical reports, thereby possessing a strong ability to review, critique, and approve the engineering work of others (PLM Technical Approver role)
4. Analog/Digital Circuit Design experience
5. Electronic Test Console (ETC) Design for ATP, QTP for flight control system components experience
6. Design of Real- Time HIL/SIL test systems for complex flight control systems experience
7. Cabling design for flight control test systems experience
8. Electromechanical design and packaging experience
9. Printed Wiring Board (PWB) Design experience
10. Working familiarity with the following tools and standards is desired:
A. DOORS requirements management system
B. Cadence and OrCAD
D. Teamcenter PLM
E. IPC- 620, IPC- 630, J- STD- 001
F. NFPA- 79
11. Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder.
The Section Head, Test Equipment Electrical Engineering is responsible for leading a team of electrical engineers assigned to develop test equipment in the Aircraft Group. The
section head will serve as direct supervisor for 1- 10 direct reports, providing technical mentoring and training to develop his/her teams competency, skills, and efficiency to meet test equipment engineering global standards.
The section head works together with the Test Equipment Site Manager(s) to assign engineers to projects as required, and is accountable for his/her teams performance in the execution of their project responsibilities. The section head also enforces process compliance and participates in process development to improve efficiency and rigor.
As an engineering supervisor, the section head will also perform performance reviews for assigned staff, and participate in workforce planning and recruiting/hiring.
In addition to leadership responsibilities, the section head is also expected to serve as a direct individual contributor to assigned projects at 50 75% capacity.
In order to serve directly as an electrical engineer on TE projects, and to effectively mentor the assigned team, the section head for TE electrical engineering will need competency in the following disciplines:
