JOB DESCRIPTION

The Senior Director HR Reporting and Analytics leads the operational strategy for people data, including data governance, tools, technology, data analysis & visualization and team development to support data-driven decision making throughout the organization. This leader thrives on new paths in employee related research, developing complex modeling that serves business needs, and helping to maximize Cox's investment in people. In partnership with People Solutions leadership, recommends functional priorities based on actionable insights found within our people data.

Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions

Leads a team of analysts, consultants, and data scientists who collect, structure, visualize, and analyze data in order to solve for deep and foundational talent and organizational challenges. Coaches and motivates team to foster a positive and cohesive team environment
Innovative and strategic thought partner with highly developed skills in the areas of change leadership, analytics/data science, project management, people technology, and organizational development/design
Partners closely with HR leadership team to understand business priorities and help leverage processes, technology & analytics to develop dynamic dashboards, metrics and KPI's that effectively measure functional excellence/effectiveness
Drives automation and scalability of insight-generation through a cost-effective reporting and data visualization strategy.
Determines analyses that should be incorporated into ongoing standard operational dashboards/reports. Presents critical and timely insights to executives on trends in Cox's talent that may include baselining, trending, external data comparisons, etc.
Prioritizes requests for human resource reporting and analysis from multiple teams and create plan for accomplishing team's activities. Continually rationalizes data requests and delivery to ensure efficiency and standardization.
Leads the development of a rigorous data governance framework, process, and strategy that prioritizes data security in systems and reporting while still enabling the business by providing direct access to business-critical data as needed
Collaborates with leaders at all levels of the organization and various departments including HR, Finance, Operations, Legal, IT and Sales/Marketing

to consult on data and analysis needs. Improves stakeholders' ability to understand and use data to make and drive informed decisions across the business.
Viewed as the authority in the interpretation and presentation of HR related data analytics. Leveraged as a go-to resource by leaders, peers and other divisions.
Maintains up-to-date knowledge of HR systems and reporting, analytics tools and techniques. Stays current on trends in data storage systems and methods, including Oracle, Workday, Tableau, Alteryx, SQL Server, data warehouses, cloud-based systems and mobile devices. Plan for, recommend, and implement enhancements to reporting and analytics tools and systems

Qualifications:

Skills and Qualifications

Minimum

10 or more years of experience required in related field (eg Data Analytics, Workforce Analytics, Technology, Business Intelligence, Operations Management, Process Improvement, etc.)
Demonstrate strong working knowledge of statistics, econometrics, data mining, and financial modeling
Technical aptitude to work within given technology tool set as well as adapt to new
Extensive experience with innovative analytical solutions to problem solving and the ability to storytell to leaders at all levels or the organization based upon what the data indicates
Experience managing high functioning analytical, technical teams
Proven ability to lead and inspire teams. Excellent interpersonal, collaborative and communication skills. Strong ability to directly or indirectly influence and/or mentor others including at executive levels

Preferred

Bachelors degree in related field
Master's degree in a quantitative field strongly desired
8+ or more years of experience in a management role preferred.
Experience in telecommunications, high-tech environment or Human Resources desired but not required
