Requirements:
As a Shop Maintenance Manager, your principal responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Shop Maintenance
Required to be fully trained on how to maximize the use and implementation of the software
Manage the repair and maintenance of the company fleet ( trucks and heavy equipment)
Assign work orders to the mechanics and handles services calls
Provide training to staff
Evaluate all the equipment after the repairs, maintenance, or safety checks
Promote quality control checks
Reporting of Fleet status to superiors: Financial, warranties, inventory , work orders, tech paid hours vs worked hours report
Develop a Preventive Maintenance Program to be implemented by SCD mechanics, drivers, and operators-
Pricing on all functions in the fleet for purchases, negotiations of fuel, grease, tires, parts, Trucks and Equipment etc
Set and keep up dated service records on equipment and Trucks for DOT compliance.
Assign work orders to the mechanics according to their knowledge
Safety
Hand to hand with our external Safety Company should:
Improve Safety among the company on the road, mechanics, and field.
Open, follow up and close; accidents and incidents near messes where drivers/operators and/or mechanics are involved
Provide Safety and Free of Drugs training to drivers, mechanics, and operators
DOT Certification & Requirements
Get DOT certify
Get air break certify
Do DOT annual inspections
Keep up with all the DOT requirements, travel permits, annual permits etc.

Responsibilities:
Track Fuel purchases to fuel consumption on all fleet operations.
Track Shop and mechanics inventory and supervise the organization of the shop and yard along with the yard supervisor
Set up accounts and approve PO-S for all fleet related expenses
Reduce maintenance cost by 10- 15% for the first year.
Provide Quarterly progress reports to CEO
Get all types of certifications that will help you grow on this position
Random inspections on how the drivers are keeping their trucks
And others.
