This position is challenging yet rewarding.  It allows our engineering team to work on current high demand technologies used in cloud networking which is constantly being updated with new applications and hardware to satisfy the ever-growing demands of our customers.  We are seeking an engineer who enjoys working in a global team environment to resolve issues yet providing solutions while also working with new technology releases in the challenging side of test and production. 



Primary responsibilities:



BSEE or equivalent with history in test development, test debug, and automation



History of work in telecom.  Product knowledge in IP, TDM, optical, T1/E1 and Class 5 switching systems is a key ingredient.



Ability to work in a Team Environment



Ability to perform technical work remotely with tools provided by Ribbon



Work in a Team environment with Ribbon partners, assisting them with automation, technical competence, product knowledge, and debugging techniques.



Become the Operational Technical contact for our 3rd
party and other groups within Ribbon.  Resolve issues and get appropriate resources involved to drive resolutions.



Participate on calls as the Operational Technical contact but additionally, drive the maintenance and continuous improvement of the products assigned to them.



Work with other Ribbon stakeholders to resolve any component obsolescence and substitutions.



Work NPI activities which include roll-out, development, and automation of any test process associated with products assigned to them.



Be available to drive resolutions to any new builds and provide support for WIP items not passing the test.



Experience and Skills:



Worked on telecom products in the past



Worked in test/sustaining engineering environment



Experience in debugging units



Experience with LabView or other automation test suites



Experience with Corelis and other JTAG programming options



Strong IT/Computing networking knowledge



Ability to travel
