UI /UX Architect Remote then onsite in San Fransisco CA 6- 8 months USC/GC'S/GC EAD/OPT EADS' ON W2 ARE ENCOURAGED TO APPLY NO C2C Building complex web applications using modern JavaScript frameworks including React.js, Node.js / Express.js. The UI/UX architect is a critical role accountable for the architecture of all new capabilities for our multi- channel, customer facing platform.

In this role, you will be responsible for working with your Product Management, Engineering and Technical Program Management peers to build the technology roadmap for the front-end experiences (mobile and web) across of all Gap Inc.'s brands and markets.

In addition, you will institute the right processes and practices to ensure high availability of all your applications and services at scale, while leading your team's technical roadmap in the Cloud.

You will be responsible for our front-end platform across all our brands, across multiple geographies, showcasing our products to millions of customers worldwide, making it fast, intuitive and rewarding to shop online!

Enhancing our component library of graphic user interface elements, like menus, tabs, and more complex widgets.

Building

complex web applications using modern JavaScript frameworks including React.js, Node.js / Express.js.

Mentoring, educating, and supporting those around you, as well as being mentored by other engineers.

Ensure data security commitments are met, including securing public APIs

Design and oversee solutions that provide frameworks, interfaces, and services that can be extended and reused across the portfolio

Expert knowledge of JavaScript.

Strong experience with HTTP, HTML, CSS, and web security concepts.

Plan and implement new designs. Experience with modern front - end framework (React, Angular, Vue) -- we use React.

Experience and passion for building beautiful and complex web applications.

Optimize existing user interface designs. Test for intuitiveness and experience.

Experience with JavaScript unit testing frameworks.

Create prototypes for new product ideas, test new ideas before implementing, and conduct ongoing user research.

Strong communication, debugging, and problem-solving skills.

Bachelor's Degree in computer science, computer engineering or a related field is required. An advanced degree is preferred.
